Update 8/25/2010: Patriot Box Office FIRMWARE LIST

Firmware udpate procedure:

0) Hook up composite cable if possible and watch progress over composite connection.
1) download firmware
2) unzip/unrar
3) copy "install.img" file to the ROOT directory of a FAT32 FORMATTED USB drive ONLY.
4) Put USB drive into front usb port of Patriot Box Office
5) Go to SETUP -> SYSTEM -> SYSTEM UPDATE, & select SYSTEM UPGRADE
6) The screen will black out for about a few seconds until the update process initiates.
The whole update process may reboot & resume, please DO NOT remove the usb drive
UNTIL the screen goes back to the setup page or the Patriot Logo Screen.

Note: Now support HDMI dual/ multi channel audio out, added language supports, Blu-Ray/ HDDVD ISO and minor fixes.
Two features were modified and two features were added in firmware version 02:

1. System Info: in this section, it has been changed to “BT and SAMBA”,
user can choose to turn on or off to activate or disactivate BT and SAMBA service.



2. Login Control: when this service is turned to “ON” system only ask password to BT log on.

3. Under MISC, add Ken Burns: This feature enables a widely used technique of slow
zooming and panning effects, and fading transitions between them.



4. Subtitle: when user presses “Subtitle”, a menu will pop up.
Besides the pop up menu, user can choose subtitle, choose Text Encoding, Subtitle time, color, size and height.
User presses up and down buttons to adjust subtitle height and pressed left and right buttons to adjust subtitle size.
